As promised I will post some of my Norway pictures. Today I want to start with some more hobby related pictures which gave me some nice ideas for bases/weathering and an idea how stuff "grows" in reality.
So without anymore babble I let the pictures speak. "A picture tells more than 1000 words", right?

Some impressions from
Nigardsbreen. After we did a small hiking trip to one of the arms in the neighborhood, we decided to go to the big one which is one of the biggest attractions in
Jostedal. We booked a short guided tour and therefore I could take some nice pictures from the glaciertongue itself. We didn't climb up too far, but it was very impressive. Next time a bigger blue ice tour ;)
Weathered truck in swampland
One nice thing I stumbled upon when we did our last hiking trip was this rusted truck. It was nearly reoccupied by nature and was really cool.

Thanks so much for the pictures. The ecosystems are so different from one another and it would be a treat to see the different species that dwell in each.

DeleteWe were lucky and saw one moose, zillions of lemmings but no reindeers or other stuff.
That blue ice is just the plainly visible part. If you go on a real blue ice tour you climb into the bigger caves in the glacier. From the pictures I saw this must be crazy.

Lovely photos. I feel taking the time to reflect on how things look in real life (and sharing them with us lurkers), can only aid in our final pieces. That ice is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe blue was even more intense while standing on it. On the bigger tour you had the possibility to go into some of the caves which looked on the pictures like diving into the ocean.

ReplyDeleteThe truck was really cool. Hiked through the swamp/wood and BAMM this truck appeared. My wife directly said "Oh something for you" ;)
