Picking up the gauntlet

Finally! The next battle(s) between my Dark Elves and the Empire Army from Labschi looms on the horizon. Today we will have a smaller battle (maybe two) of 1250 points. We had the thing planned to be a massive game with the ETC comp but decided to play a smaller game (maybe two) for updating our rule knowledge and doing some testing with our armies. So we decided to use a german comp called "Kleiner Horus" (follow the link to german comp) which is made for games of 1250 points. The only thing we left out is the allowance for special character models.

Along the restrictions there is for example this:
  1. no commanders
  2. max. 3 heroes
  3. max. 156 points per hero
  4. max 3 levels of mages
Dark Elves:

  1. max 6 shades
  2. no pendant of kaeleth

Empire:

  1. priests count as 1 magelevel
  2. max 3 demigyphons

First time we use this comp, seems to be pretty cool for such a point size because it really cuts of most of the peaks.

Its the first battle with the "new" Empire for us both so I am very curious how things like demigryphons or orcanium influence the gameplay.

Wish me luck!

So long,
Paradox0n

P.S.: I will try to do some pictures for a complete battle report :)

  1. Good luck on the game mate.. but I think you have the advantage in that you have to take Max Demigryphons :) Unless there is supposed to be a number in there also ;)

Waiting on the photos and bat rep now :)

    1. Ups :) Only 3 are allowed. Corrected it.
Yeah my Dark Elves are preparing for battle. I really have respect from the Empire although I stomped them the last two battles (old book). So we will see. In 30 minutes we'll start.

  2. Short Update: Both games were victories for the Dark Elves. I was pretty lucky and some game deciding dice rolls were on my side. More at the battle reports.
