One thing first: The new layout (which was introduced in Issue #30) is something different BUT it leaves much more space to the pictures than the conventional layout. This issue really benefits from this layout because you really get a LOTS of pictures of minis in a really nice size to see some detail.
The painting articles are as always pretty cool. This time no real step-by-step, rather a "I did it this and that way" which I think is very nice. In the second article about the shaman I especially like the insights the author gives of the errors he made while painting etc.
The report of the Golden Thrall shows some very nice painted miniatures as does the gallery.
